A Dumb Entrepreneur’s Trick For Turning Incoming Spam Into Sales

I’m a dumb founder and have my direct Mantry email everywhere so I get a lot of cold sales emails. Years ago I set up an auto-responder using TextExpander. I just hit ;cold and it generates this reply instantly.

“Hi ___,

Same deal as to all sales people (I receive 10+ pitches a day). Expense a Mantry and forward your receipt to me and I’ll hear your 10 minute pitch. If not, please remove me from your email list.

People’s time is worth something. I am always pumped to hear pitches because I know that person is committed and it filters out the drip campaigns of lazy salespeople. It flips the decision on the person who interrupted you.

If you get a lot of cold emails, try it. One of the best things I ever did to attempt to stay sane.
