“non-stop choreographed dancing and singing for 9 innings…”
In August, my friend Dave and I hopped a red-eye to Tokyo for eight days of eating, eating and eating (oh and baseball). The first night, we cruised into the Tokyo Yakult Swallows stadium not really knowing what to expect. Sure, the non-stop choreographed dancing and singing for 9 innings was different from a game at Yankee Stadium, but it was the food that got us giddy. Steaming bowls of ramen, bursting gyoza, hot dogs dusted with Japanese mayo and seaweed, all washed down with icy Asahi beer. It got me thinking that maybe it’s time to break the conventional rules of game day eats. So we bring you this internationally inspired tailgate spread, game on.
