Satsuma Mojito Recipe

A Louisiana spin on the mojito cocktail using satsuma oranges and Bayou Rum that will fire up any backyard cookout.

Ingredients

  • 3 oz satsuma or mandarin oranges
  • 2 oz white rum
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 8 fresh mint leaves
  • 1 oz. lime
  • ice
  • splash of Yellowbird Serrano Hot Sauce
  • seltzer

Directions

  1. Add the mint leaves, sugar, lime juice, satsuma juice, rum and yellowbird sauce to a collins glass. Muddle everything together, fill the glass with ice and top with seltzer (you can also muddle everything together with the seltzer).

Pro Tip: Do the “mint slap” to get the essential oils going. Just clap the mint leaves between your hands.
